Swapping PCM's will be better for performance on your car...but header wise.

Welded Pacesetter's for the money...same performance if not better than ZZP and TOG's and half the price, with 1 7/8" primaries.

both will be about the same. there is no set of headers that you can buy for our cars that anyone has ever outflowed. that is why i chose a simple install 2 piece header with smaller primaries (S&S headers).

new question, are you, grand2000prixgtp of the one in a million guys running that setup knock free?

I was thinking of doing headers for my first mod. Should i do the whole exhaust 3" right away or will just headers with dp and cat be enough? I just want to make it breathe since i plan to do serious mods later. Is this wise? Or should i look elsewhere for power first?

Im running a 3.3" with 1.9 rockers, overkill pcm, cai, and a plog. Stock dp, thermostat, plugs. I have minimal KR 1.5 @ 11 psi boost. Every car is different, this same set up on a different car could be 5-6 * knock. Im not saying your wrong, All Im saying is no one can assume he has KR.

If you are going to get slps just get ss autochrome headers. Same thing, but a lot cheaper.

Catback is fine stock unless you go some crazy ass blower build or turbo it...get a set of catted headers (they come with the downpipe and u-bend delete)...I say Pacesetter's but no one likes them but me or gotboost...but ask him once he had them welded like mine how awesome they are.

Well...your lucky IMO...most people would love to get away with something like that...how does your car do in hot weather?

Yup...pretty much paying for a name brand...hence why I used to buy my Nike shoes from the Illegal immigrants at the market...knock offs but got the job done

Yeah, for every degree of KR the rule of thumb is you are losing 5-7 crank HP...so you are seeing about 10-14 HP loss at WOT IMO...just get some headers and call it good and run knock free

2* isn't that bad, headers should clear that right up keep an eye out in the for-sale sections, ive seen really good deals on headers there.

[QUOTE=99prixgt;206293]Behold he has 2*'s of knock...

Well I made my point. 2* of knock does not justify telling him to go back to a stock pulley when he was asking peoples thoughts on headers?

Reason being is for some freak reason it can happen to damage the motor...or not...who knows...IMO skip the damned a little knock is ok. NO KNOCK IS GOOD. Period. I don't care if you have a half of a degree, or two tenths of a degree...its a half degree or two tenths too much and is still taking power from you, even if it is a hair on your ass sized amount. I'd rather be safe than sorry...and trust me man, I've been through enough motors to find out.
