check out the flanges. if the owner before you tightened the headers down too much the flanges will end up 'ovaling' out instead of being circular. this will make it harder to seal them unless you can bend them back in a vise or something of the like.Quote:

Aside from the flanges, just check to make sure that they're not too dinged up or bent. Big dents and whatnot can really affect flow.

S&S are the cheapest of the expensive headers. everyone claims that the smaller primaries arent perfect for a supercharged application but i think they suck at life. my car loves these things.
