I work security at night and wonder when i replace my failing alternator. Would this be a good one to get as i run the battery often. Any advice would be appreciated.

Not sure if you really need anything more than stock...

Stock should be fine don't think you need a high output alternator. If anything do the big 3 upgrade.Want to save some money just have your current one rebuilt.

Unless you run high power accessories like me (1400 watts RMS for subs alone), then no need for HO alternator.

If you insist on one, I have one from DC power that's been golden for the past two years, 110A idle, 270A max. Iraggi is another good brand. Don't chance off brand ones off of Amazon or eBay, they normally just use under drive pulleys to boost output, and thus burn out within a year or two. You need to spend real money for a quality HO alternator that will last more than a year or two.
