It was a bad day, but it could have been worse. I'm still alive, wife's car is running, and she just shrugged and said **** happens when it comes to cars. You know your wife is a true car gal when she thinks this way. Then she got all sad and said "so no vroom vroom for me?" Lol

Night I decided to rocker/Gen V my car.. yeah I had a loud tick from the valvetrain upon startup and took the truck to work.
I hear ya! You know I've been working on cars the past 16 years and have my good and bad days when it comes to them. Just the luck of the draw when it comes to working on cars. It's the part I dislike the most when things don't go as expected. However, there does come a point in time when being able to afford having someone else work on cars comes about. There is something nice about dropping a car off at a shop, going about life, and picking it up later ready to go.

People like to argue, well I built this and that person had a shop do the work. Its like they are better than them and it's a sad argument. At the end of the day the work is completed and the car goes just as fast. One just chose to sweat their ass off and gain a little more knowledge on how to do something. I've never been to a car show or dragstrip where someone was awarded extra "points" or was thought of being more "cool" cause they did the work themselves. If people feel otherwise they are living in fantasyland. It's all about time and money and how someone wants to spend it.
