    Look at it this way.

    We give you information.

Take time out of our day to help ya out...then you just kinda ignore it and keep posting even though your questions were answered. Being a broken record is kinda obnoxious, hence why I took a couple WEEKS out of my own time a few years ago and typed that thread up for people like you who might be new to the GP scene or modding all together. It literally has all the info you NEED to get started...and then you need to just take it further with your own research.

I think getting 260 HP is maintainable.. The stock 3800 is like 200 HP already, adding a cheap cat back exhaust would add about 10 HP most likely,,followed by a cold air intake, hv3, high flow cat, headers, newer plugs, wires, bigger throttle body, I dunno... You all might disagree

Add up the cost of those mods, then look at what a topswap or tubo would cost.

catback shouldnt add anything to be honest. cold air intake i didnt notice anything dramatic,hv3 only add a few horse max, BUT above 5000rpms you notice a gain 20-30 horse dpeending on mods, it does not add horse but give you a better powerband in the upper rpms.
our stock cat is good to 350whp(so i hear), newer plugs and wires wont give you horse they just give you horse back that was lost to old plugs and wires, back to the reading bord for you! http://www.grandprixforums.net/safel...car-17482.html lols

hoestly with everything i have done to my car i was disapointed but with a tune(i just got on) and the mods i had before the tune i couldnt believe how much or woke the car up! tune makes or breaks these cars and mods on a n/a dont seem to do much unless your tuned for them.
    just my thoughts.

    Wasting your breath man.

OP apparently doesn't think he needs to learn to modify.

People like that will come back here in a few weeks when their car isn't running wondering why.

    yup, fun pattern.

ah ic, well my intake and exhaust made a difference for me, i raced stock 04-08 GPGT's and beat them by half car length so i guess it depends haha but yea tunes i hear make a big difference

if youre looking for major gains your options are limited to: either getting a boosted engine in there (stupid), topswaping (can be done fairly cheap if you have access to parts and such) or turbo (best bang for the buck but still pricey). that said, no matter how much you do to a N/A 3800, its still gonna be slow. People putting 2k into n/a mods and still be slower than a GTP with a tune....
2001 GT Special Edition - 208k miles, junkyard status. Part out in progress.
    2015 Mazda Mazda3 S Touring - 39000 miles, bone stock.
