I am in the process of changing my LIM gaskets, new set of lifters, new UIM/gaskets, etc. and I wanted to change my plugs also. They are original, at 112K miles, still run OK, but figured I should change them. My problem is that I have been trying for over an hour to get the wires off of the plugs but cannot seem to budge them. I have tried twisting the boots back and forth and tried pulling on the shield, but no go. Is there some secret to getting these wires off??? Maybe the wires have "glued" themselves to the plugs???
'02 - 3.8(K) 153,000 miles, New UIM, New LIM alum. gasket, new lifters, new OEM cat. Runs great ! Owned it since new. (bought it 12 years ago with only 22 miles on the clock)

Pretty hard to remove them without damaging them so be prepared to buy a new set. Put some ass into it.
