So the other day I'm driving along and my SES light came on. So I go to get it checked at autozone and the code they gave me was p0108.

The only thing I can tell that the car is doing wrong is that sometimes it won't downshift. It seems to do it when I've been driving for awhile already, or if I'm on the interstate going at higher speeds.

For example, I'll be cruising along in whatever gear I'm in, lets say 3rd. I'll go to accelerate and step on the gas but it wont downshift like it normally does and should. The car will just stay in whatever gear it's already in and shift up when it reaches the right shifting point. When I slow down, there are no problems shifting down or anything. It just doesn't want to downshift sometimes.

I guessed it to be something regarding a vacuum leak or something. The code said it could be that, the throttle body lose (not it, I checked it) the BARO or MAP defective, or the VAF or MAF sensors could be defective.

If you guys could help out that'd be awesome. Thanks.

Well whatever it was, it's gone now. I took my car into get the oil changed today and when I got back in to drive back home the light was off. After driving around a bit it didn't seem to be having any problems like it was before. I'll see though I guess. Whatever it was it must have been pretty minor because they didn't charge me anything extra or even say anything to me. Maybe they just erased the code or something. It's not having downshifting problems like before though.

Ok, so the SES light came back on. You guys think it might be a MAF sensor?

Ok, the light went back off again on its own. wtf haha. Idk if it's a leak or not. I took a tube with one end up to my ear and one end in the engine and I kinda heard what sounded like a little leak or hiss or something. You think it could possibly be a vacuum leak?

Yeah, I'm listening, I just want to make sure I'm fixing the right thing. I don't want to spend 50 bucks on the map when all it would be is a leak. I just posted and said I heard some kind of leak in the engine. I was just double checking.
