Thread: Engine problem 3.4L dohc

Car has rough idle at idle and hesitation at speed on throttle at 4000rpm check engine light comes on. any ideas??

I was told that a bad fuel pump regulator is what gives you that, and in park my car hits a rev limit at 4000rpm for some reason but if i shift into neutral it goes back to normal..so idk, try it

check the IAC. maybe it`s fouled.
the 4000 rpm limit is "produced" from the knock sensor IIRC.
