^Yup! Love my Phillips 85122s. OEM bulbs rock. Morimoto bulbs are good, certainly much better than eBay kit garbage. But nothing like OEM for precision.

HighOctane, I really appreciate the comments! In all honesty it would be easier to start over. From a time point of view and the ease of working with a non-manipulated headlight. TBH the matchboxes throw some pretty good light for what they are, obviously nothing compared to the Mini H1 or the Mini D2S.

The Phillips bulbs look brighter and have just a little more color in the band versus the Morimoto XB35 4500k D2S bulbs I started with. Comparing both after a long enough break in time of course.

HighOctaneRacing I got lucky finding this hood and got one hell of a deal on it. The paint you see on it is how the guy before me had it painted which was nice since it is exactly how I wanted it painted and I got it for $375 shipped. Cant beat that haha

Classy I have seriously been thinking about buying a new set off of you but still am not sure when or if I will pull the trigger on that, I will let you know if I decide to try to make a set myself or go through you.

As for the D2s, you need to cut some metal behind the headlight on the car to make them fit? Do you need to do that with the mini H1s?

Dooooo eeeeettttttt, especially if you do a lot of night driving. You'll be wondering why you didn't get them sooner.

You'll have to cut the metal behind he headlights to for the mini h1 too.. Or at least I had to.. But was the only way I could get the projector to sit deep enough.

Well that is interesting. Any way any of you guys can post of a picture of where you needed to cut so I can get an idea of what it looks like? I am not a big fan of cutting anything on my car but if it isn't that much of a cut I would be all for it to improve my light output.

    1. Way to rub it in asshole lol but congrats on that sweet ass deal

    2. I'm thinking of rebuilding my retros first and if it fails, I'll be going through Classy as well. I'll be trying to take out the matchboxes and put in the Mini H1's. The only issue is if it fails for whatever reason, I'm gonna have Mini H1's sitting around...

    3. Are you sure you have to cut the metal? I had to cut some of the plastic on the bracket that's on the car. Real easy with a dremel tho

No problem. I was planning on doing an extremely careful job on removing them in order to sell for cheap later on.

You might be able to use them as fogs lol

Always glad to rub it in haha, and as for cutting that is not bad. I thought you would need to cut a lot more than that
