Figured I'd finally start a thread for my car, a black 1998 GTP coupe.
So I'll start off with my adventure from this morning.

I'll try to get some better pictures later, but what happen is a guy turned right on red in front of me and I hit him.

But I'll have to see where it goes from here.

Figured I'd update this first post with how the car looks as of now and current mods:

    New Pic:

    -AEM Dryflow Cone Filter
    -180* T-Stat
    -Ported Supercharger
    -Ported Throttlebody

Nah I've been driving it, rail is fine. Going to get some black housed headlights, new fender, fixed/used hood (corner is rolled and dent in the middle) and paint on the bumper. THEN BAM.

No cause he already took blame for it. He told that to the cops and everything.
Also found out the bumper is in fact cracked, so new bumper, new headlights, new fender, new bulbs, and we'll see about the hood.

I wish. I don't have that kind of money. The guy's insurance is going to pay for anything I need caused by the accident.

Including a new paint job for the replacement fender, bumper and hood

Then compound and rewax the rest of the car and you should be sitting purdy

Only for that part. The driver rear 1/4 needs some new metal welded because of rust, and that side of the car as well as the rear bumper, spoiler, decklid, and hood all need paint. :P

Lol yea i was just talking about the front of your car. the front bumper was pretty scratched up, so it should look better with a repaint (Assuming they match the colors right)

Nah, I'm thankful really. I'm getting repairs I needed anyway done for free, and I'm glad I hit him and not the woman in front of him. The woman in front of him that originally cut me off was a large black woman in a Chrysler 300M, and this all happened on the North end of town, aka "the bad part of town."
If I would have hit her instead... ohh boy it would've been a mess.

Exactly, and it's getting fixed free, making the car better then it was before the accident. So win win...

I can't. Progressive does their own estimates, writes you a check based on their estimate, and then let you choose where to do your work. The car I got my engine from was coincidentally a black 98 GTP, and it's still sitting at the yard, and I know for a fact the passenger fender is up for sale. If the bumper is any good, I can get those two for cheap from that car, POSSIBLY the hood, a set of black housed headlights, and maybe some HIDs to boot.

i just the black headlights before my car took a dump, look fantasic IMO, and from what i see in your sig would look pretty schnazzy on your car too
Jenny, The '99 Silvermist GTP. With the mod's that matter.
I would rather lose by a mile because I built my own car, than lose by an inch, because someone else built it for me. Your car is your story, so don't let someone else write the book.
