Wow. Wasn't aware of the dry times lol

yeah the sanding/prep work takes time, then masking it off, filler needs to dry, sand it fill it more with more stuff it needs to dry, the primer needs to dry, the paint and clear can be done while all wet i think, and then that needs to be dry before you take it on the road.
if you had the day im sure you could pull it off, its not a huge area. but in the shop at his work i dont see his boss letting him sit on one car all day. unless you are paying labor as well to the shop. aka a paying customer. lol
thats not a huge area to deal with on your own. watch some repair vids and see if your up to it.
dont tape it off and paint up to the tape, it will leave a hard edge that is hard to sand down smooth. you want to feather the paint to the old.
im no pro by a long shot but ive seen it done enough. and if that was my car i'd give it a shot.
i meant your bosses wife, makes the old man think you care lol
gives him something to give his wife and maybe he gets lucky????= low cost shop time. you know candles and pretty smelling woman stuff.
Well I felt the rust. Its all hard metal underneath with no give besides one spot. One spot the size of my thumb nail has some give to it. So now what? Ill most likely have to bring it to a shop and weld in a new piece of metal?
