I have a 97 gp gt, Looking in the junkyard the other day I noticed their are two different styles of winshield washer fluid tanks the one that goes on the battery(like mine) and the one that sits down in the fender well. So my question is has anyone ever done a swap of this set up. Going from the battery one to the fender one?

    ??

I thought it was only the coolant tanks that were different.

My cousin just did his car and said it wasn't hard the only thing that sucked was removing the bumper by himself.

    Its easy to do

slide tank in from bottom and find a bolt with the same thread pitch and bolt it in. I didn't even take my fender off. I was able to slide it in from the bottom and fed my hand up from the bottom too. You have to add a few inches of wire to the existing pump wire otherwise it won't reach the new pump location in the fender area. The rubber line that directs the fluid from the pump to the wiper nozzles reach so you shouldn't need any additional rubber line. I did the swap over 3 years ago to get my optima red top battery in.

That tranny bolt isn't bad either with a 3ft extension and a impact.
