    I want to change my guage cluster color from red to blue.

    I've read these are the bulbs behind it;
    8 - 194
    12 - 74

    Is it as simple as switching them out or is there a film on the cluster that will keep it from appearing blue?
    If so, how do I fix it?

    After doing some research, here's some nice reverse guages, but they come at a price. http://www.andysautosport.com/pontia...ces/alfa_otto/

    the bulbs you can change to blue just fine and the only thing youll have to take the coating off of is the needles. those are stained that orange color, but you can sand that off and they will be white and in turn light up blue.

    Im pretty sure that all the numbers and everything on the cluster is back coated with color also. On my old car I just bought a blue stock looking overlay for like $50 and it looked awesome. Canging the bulbs will only change the color around your odometer.

    Can you give me a link to the overlay?

    Hmm, I may sand the needles. I will have to take out my cluster to see if there's an orange coating but you say there's not..

    I did the same thing as Kasey. I got it on ebay about 5 years ago...they still have them but they are a bit different now. And there has to be a film on the cluster because the bulbs behind the cluster are white.

    03 GTP...Its got pulleys and stuff.

    The stock one can be changed. Take it apart. There a red film over the letters. I've heard of some people using carb cleaner to take it off. I used paint thinner and laqure thinner combined to a weak solution. Then rubbed off the red with qtips. Took some time but didnt ruin anything. Then it's just a matter of using different colored bulbs. Save some cash and have the stock look
