I've stolen this from another member who made a thread on it a while ago but can't find that thread so I've started a new one. I just wanted to share with people incase someone else might want to try it and because I just want to show it off haha. It was pretty simple to do really just drilled a hole and super glued the cord to the car. I know I could've done a better job tucking the cord but didn't feel like taking the dash apart tonight just for that. Anyway let me know what you think.

No, it comes out near the passengers feet then right up the the usb port. Most of the wire is tucked though except for what you can see in the picture. I will do a better job with it though someday haha. I was looking for a head unit that had a usb in the back but couldn't find one so this will have to do.

Too bad mine is nothing like this. My cord runs to the back of the deck and has the buttons on the side. But, I could probably do this with an iPod dock and such.

Its easy to run the wire from behind.

Mine is routed down the right side then "beside" the ashtray, yes theres space back there, then into that cubby at the bottom.

    Easy hookup from there.

Ya that's what I would've done if I had a usb in the back but I only have one in the front. I was considering making a little hold on the side to run the wire through but for now what I've done will work.

Very nice. I ran mine all the way through the console and into the space under the center armrest. I can control my Ipod from my deck, so I don't need the Ipod accessible. And then if I get out and leave the car, no one can see my Ipod just chilling there.

That's a good idea I didn't think about that. Mine works through my deck too but this way it's not sliding around or anything. And I take it out of my car everytime I go somewhere haha. Not going to risk coming back to a broken window.

I ran mine into my glovebox. It stays invisible and no one knows any different.

I'm deciding on a new head unit right now and how I will run my iPhone. What kind of surround is that? All I have found are cut out of the middle and I like the way that sits at the bottom of the panel. The phone mount I am looking at is directly to the right of the HU and it would be easy to have the plug come out just ubove it with that extra space. I also had considered mounting a iPhone cradle in the small pocket like yours.

He drilled a hole in the change holder, ran the wire through so it sat, and uses it like and iPod dock.

^^^ Exactly. I also took the little rubber piece out so if I decide to take it out I can cover the hole.

The other reason I had to do it to the console is I have heated seats, so I don't have a spot like that to do it.

I took this one step further and added a clear plastic back and some red LEDs to light up and match my HU and interior lights. The LEDs have an on/off switch in the cubby behind and they were wired off of the cigarette lighter off to the side. sorry for the busted phone case haha
