    Just actually read this....

In my Bonnie I'd troll for LS1 cars.

    S1X
    1.8RR's
    S3 Heads
    Gen V
    2.8/2.9 pulley
    N*
3.29's (hurt on the top end)
    EWP
    etc etc.

I would have expected to do well next to the vettes and maros etc. However..that's only if they had minor bolt ons and when you add in the nitro. Sorry Ed, that doesn't seem very plausible to me either. And I had that fast car that sent many chains and reluctors to their grave.

DR's aren't going to matter much at 40mph, although I'd rip street tires free beyond that.

Without the nitrous..I'd think it's possible.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Dude, you are no where near the power level of a 150 shot LS1. A simple bolt-on N/A LS1 would give your car a run for it's money on the highway. And the fact that you say his Vette is only a low 12 second car just screams driver error even more. He should be low 11's trapping about 125 mph easy. Your car would be lucky to trap 113-114. He's making about 100 whp more than you AND is a couple hundred pounds lighter. It's simple physics, man. His car should have ran away from you like you were parked. I realize anything can happen on the street, and that means that there are a lot of bad drivers out there. Not doubting that you hung with him but you're kidding yourself if you think that you hung with that car and not just the driver.

Here's a video of a friend of mine's 150 shot Trans Am with exhaust, pretty much the same mods as this Vette, but 200-300 lbs heavier. And this is him racing a pullied, tuned 03 Corba vert that trapped 115mph. The juiced LS1 just runs away once it grips.

And then I see based off your sig..your gp runs 11. hmm sounds like b/s. timeslip or fail. unless there's other mods you didn't mention.

I love how you guys can deny that an "all powerful" vette can be outbeat by a run of the mill GP. The LS1 vettes are 354chp, with exhaust up it a little... then add a 150 shot... so on nitrous it would be a good race if your running 12s in your GP... if you run 11s you should win.

My friend with a 01 LS1 vette trapped 13.2 all night on streets. With NOS he ran low-mid 12s on the same car. There ARE GPs that do run 12s all day, few into the 11s and some that even trap 10s and lower...

Stop the ranting because your jealous... move on

You sure he was spraying when you raced? What is a LS1 on spray a low 11 sec car? Not like that is an impossible feat. lol

This is for Verz since he likes to post stupid night vids of a street race. AND this guy is on drag radials in the first one.

Haha wow so much fail in this post...

Your friends vette ''trapped 13.2''?? Comments like that are why you shouldn't even be posting.

And an LS1 vette has 350 crank hp, yes. And adding a 150 shot puts it around 500 to the crank, plus the exhaust so roughly 520-530 to the crank?

My buddies 150 shot/exhaut LS1 TA dyno'd 468 rwhp/540 rwtg to the wheels. And that car is HEAVIER than a vette.

No one is arguing that he beat the car, just not the driver.

I was showing an example of what a properly driven 150 shot LS1 would do to his GTP...even in a heavier car.
