Yeah, I wouldn't want to race a FWD car from a dig either. Those grand prixs be laying down some mean sub 1.5 60ft's on streets. Look out!

The funny thing is the ls1 with bolt ons will make more power (and useable, power under the curve, mind you) then any m90 setup is going to. And you say you came within a half car length of a car thats lighter, and on a 150 shot? By half car length do you mean when you pulled it into the garage next to him to change your oil you left a half car length between the two?

    2001 Formula M6 : Shhhh
2001 SSEi : New DD, Bone Stock for now

Bad tune, bad tire, whatever. You did good, you don't need an excuse. We all race when our cars aren't at their best. Sometimes we win sometimes we lose. I like that better than wimping out.
2005 Grand Prix GTP CompG. Overkill PCM, ZZP S2 I/C, ZZP MPS W/ 3.3" pulley, 1.9 YT rockers, 42.5# injectors, Moroso wires and AL104 plugs, 180 Thermostat, LS4 MAF.
Front PLOG, Rear PLOG, crossover, all ceramic coated. ZZP 3" Downpipe and 3" exhaust pipes with Borla S-Type mufflers.

So you lost to a 450ish rwhp Vette in your heavier 350ish whp GTP? By only half a car? If the Vette is a M6 I say he can't drive for sh!t.

I did beat him when he only had 100 shot untuned, but he had car tuned with 150 shot and beats me now...

Anyway Bad tires is always a better excuse for losing than untuned
Given that you are on that small of a pulley, you need a GenV or better to make use of your mods because your starving yourself. Grats to beating a vette... seriously. My buddies C5 stock was a flat 13 on streets, DRs and nitrous was low 12s, so your moving well to keep up, especially at highway speed pulls.

So we are assuming its a regular C5 since your saying LS1... I don't recall a year to the vette. It could be a Z06 with a LS6, or even newer C6 with a LS2 or LS7.... tho unlikely and I would raise the flag if he said a LS9

But your arguing that a "lighter" Vette would run away from our "heavy" cars... despite the fact that the curb weight of a factory C5 Corvette is 3,245 lb vs our 3,559 lb GTP Seda... The 314lbs difference isn't exactly laughable.

My asshole neighbor who moved in recently has both a vette and BMW M3 and drives neither of them, all he drives is his massive ugly chevy suburban, that guy has a screw loose.

This story not only raises the BS flag. It also sounds the BS alarm and shoots the BS flares.
