yeah, no doubt evo IX being the faster of the 3 american Evo's. then comes Evo VIII, to me the Evo X is pure trash. I wouldn't have it, the design is ugly and this is america, who the hell has access to a time attack track in the U.S.??

Evo's are awesome cars, but the X's are fat heavy pigs compared to the old IX's and VIII's.
If a car can get from a to b in less time its faster.
So my statement of the X posting faster lap times is true if the race is a test of more than just your shift points and car setup.
Drag races are fun for proving raw power, but getting that power somewhere... thats a whole different type of fun.![]()
Try an SCCA event...lots of them are set up in parkling lots and you run around cones...it's great fun and you get to to really push your car.
Nah, i'm not sure a dealership would let me take out a $47 000 car (canadian price is higher for some stupid reason, possibly bceause this is the first time the evo has been availible in Canada) if i rolled up in a $2-5K grand prix...![]()
LOL are you serious? Thats ****ed... I know if you roll up in a nice looking car, they just say SURE heres the keys, be back within an hour![]()
I don't see what is so hard to believe about this story, guys. If that EVO was stock it's slow as balls. They only trap 100-101 mph. There are GTP's with the OP's mods that trap as high as 105-106 mph. Depending on how dialed in the tune is.
Nice kill 2000GTP.
