it would for sure rub away easier. its been done by many-a-people. it's just the lazy mans way out of doing work.

also, OP: using spring blockers will work for now, but you really are not addressing the problem. you need to roll your fenders. it will five you an extra 15mm or so of clearance, which should clear the tire when the suspension compresses (by nature, a suspension gains negative camber the more it is compressed. therefore, if you can clear it while it is compressing then youre fine). if you leave it like it is now you will continually cut your tires until you need new ones. tires and cheap and you shouldnt be cheap in your solution to the actual problem. roll your fenders and im 97% sure your problem will be completely alleviated. you also can try running a small amount of camber, but anything over -2* or so will look stupid (this is another way of avoiding the actual problem).

Yea thats your fender rubing on there. Im running 20s that are 9 inches wide and when ever I have a fat chick party in my back seat they rub pretty bad, I havnt tried rolling them yet, but plan to do that then sell em and lower with 18s or possibly not such wide 20s lol

another option i was looking at, because i was looking very closely, because i noticed it rubs A LOT in the back, fixed the front problem, im looking at a set of coil lifters, just to raise the ride 1.5", then id also be able to have somebody else in the back seat because when someone sits in the back i have about half an inch of clearance, the back seems to be sittting slightly lower then the front, and only rubs on bumps that are quite large. anybody else use coil lifters? are they a good option? New Twist-In Rear Spacer Coil Spring Boosters/ Lifters on eBay.ca (item 290556874123 end time 17-May-11 02:17:25 EDT) i also found a set of rubber ones which might be better

im being serious right here: a hammer.

get a rubber mallet or wrap your hammer in a rag. HEAT UP THE PAINT REALLY HOT TO THE POINT WHERE YOU CANT KEEP YOUR FINGERS ON IT (takes a heat gun). take a few whacks at it and figure out how hard you can hit it before it starts to bend. SLOWLY make your way around the fender bending the lip all at once, little by little. KEEP THE PAINT HOT THE WHOLE TIME.

your other option is finding someone with a fender roller and paying them to do it the 'right' way. take this from someone who owns one: i prefer my hammer method.

also, dont bend the lip completely flat if you dont need to. the close you ge to flat the more prone it will be to crack the paint because youre stretching it so far.

the biggest point is KEEP THE PAINT HOT. HOT HOT.
