I second this. No offense, but as a GM Parts guy, I tend to run into ALOT of women who "know cars" and they know less than our detail guys. I also have dealt with the auto store people downtown who are worthless, guys and girls alike, but OCCASIONALLY do run into a female that can actually call BS on turbocharger belts, muffler bearings, and know that blinker fluid does exist; its a heat dispersing gel for HID headlights

The local Autozone manager is a woman, she is pretty knowledgable but has no memory and will triple check what im working on before she gets the part pulled up... this aggravates me but she does know her stuff.

Knowledge comes from experience and MOST girls don't want to get the hands on experience that guys tend to do, we like being dirty and cut up and what better way than to dismantle your engine for no reason other than cleaning off the carbon on the cylinders
