If this kid has two woofers sharing common air space but facing different directions it's necessary to reverse polarity before something is damaged because he can't "hear" anything due to the cancellation. Next thing you know...gain goes up, bass boost goes up...BOOM!!!!
Honestly, even if they do maintain separate chambers there's probably cancellation. They need to play together, not AGAINST each other.
