    Now that you have a good key for your car, you can make additional keys easily. The PK3 keys are easy to program yourself at least for 97-03 cars. I've bought several online for both my GPs(about $12/key), had them cut by a locksmith(about $5) then programmed them myself. It worked out to be less than $20 per key. I keep a non PK3 key as a pattern for the cut.

    All you do is use a good key, turn it to on then back to off. Put in the new key and turn it on then off and it should be programmed.
    2001 black GTP coupe, Gen V, ZZP S2IC & billet fuel rails, XP cam, LS7 lifters, 105# springs, ZZP MPS w/3.4 pulley, Northstar tb, LQ4 maf, ZZP headers, K & N CAI, Meziere electric wp, Caspers fp retire, F body front brakes, GMPP strut braces​, Don Rome strut brace mounts.

    dont have a coded key or factory alarm.
