thanks, gonna test it tomorrow but was looking for ideas to try while i'm at it

a buddy had the same issue...could be yours as well?
I will try that tomorrow. Thank you!
Because the problem isn't in the fusebox.. it's a resistor that's located behind teh washer bottle.
ah interesting, thank you.
By bending the tab.. you bypass the low speed setting of the pump which goes through a resistor.
yeah i figured that out now lol. Hopefully this works. Going to try it tonight.
i'll check both, thanks.
Still dies either position of that relay. However it also does he exact same thing whether or kot the fuel pump is connected or not.
So the 4 pin connector to the fuel pump. Shouldn't there be power going to at least one of the pins? I have two ground but the other two read nothing
The pump primes with key on and doesn't stay running until the engine is running. You'd need to make a jumper to jump the power to find out if power is getting back there.
I assume you unhooked the maf already and tried starting with some throttle ?
i checked the maf connection but it has been connected when i try and start the car. and yeah I'm going to hotwire to the fuel pump to see if power is getting back there or not. If no power is going to the pump, what does that mean then?
If no power at the pump..it means you aren't getting power. C'mon lol. Then you trace it back. Wiring, fuses, relay.
Try unplugging maf and using throttle to get it started and keep it running for a min or so
yeah, I was just confused, I thought you meant that maf had something to do with the power going to the pump.
Got it running. I had the pump and and noticed the car had no gas. So 5 gallons and it fired right up. But the sending unit on the gauge is broken.
