    So just installed a vs cam and everything seems good except idle is all over the place. It got better after like 5 minutes of running but still isnt right.
    On my way home i was just pretty much coasted to get there because my afr was seeing as much as 16:1 if i pressed the throttle but i had to get the car home so i kept the idle as low as possible. Half way here car stalled and wouldnt start. I got a cel for maf and map uncalibration or some ****. So i cleared them and was able to start the car and get home. Do i need to do a case learn or should i flash the car to stock and go from there?

    So..You haven't tuned for the cam yet? That's where I'd start
    06 GXP | 222/227 cam/cartuning turbo kit on 8psi/meth/e85 coilovers/ still on stock trans at 130k

    Check the vac line to the map sensor, and make sure the map sensor is plugged in. I had this and it was because the map had lost vaccum. Make sure everything is sealed up properly (Lim, Blower). Sounds like you have a nasty vac leak, or need a tune hella bad.

    So i flashed my stock bin to see if it would help and it did idle a little better but yea i was thinking vac leak anbd tried messing around witht eh line going to the one map and didnt really do anything. Ill take a look later and see if i can find anything. Most guys just install a cam and is able to drive no problem correct? Now im pretty positive the right side map is the one that has vacuume and the other doesnt right?

    oh yeah! I had the same problem.... I hooked them up backwards... flip em. see what happens

    Yea the issue im having is not due to the tune and trying to tune it is not going to do anything but cause more issues. Think i figured it out. The hose going to the rear map i think is coming loose. I fiddled around with it earlier and car started to idle fine. Then i went for a ride to get lunch and it started idle messed up again. Im at work atm but ill look into it later.

    Turned out to be the vac line going onto the map. Was just a little loose and causing a small leak. Getting alot of random misfires though. Everything on the car is new except the icm cam and crank sensors. Ive tried a different icm though and misfire didnt go away so idk. I might just replace all 3 with new and see what happens.

    Not what im referring to. I am watching random misfires across all cylinders. It did it befor the cam aswell.

    I just installed that cam and it ran fine on my stock tune before I started tweaking it. Something else may be causing it. Im not aware that you need to do a case re-learn.

    The fact that the op now, has had issues prior to the cam install further complicates things, which would've been nice to know from the first post. Got to run through all the usual suspects to find the issue. Hopefully it's apparent and a easy fix.

    If anything has been read i figured out the issue myself and the car is running great outside of the slight random misfires. Everything on the car has been replaced besides icm crank and cam sensors. and i have great compression. Honestly im not that worried. But would still be nice to know why these misfires are there.

    Did you set P0300 to no report yet? Because a cam is going to piss that code off.

    Would have been nice to fix those misfires ahead of time. Are you seeing them driving or just idling?

    You should only disable the 300 code if you need to. A vs cam should not require the removal of that code because it retains the stock cam timing.

    I agree with that. With a VS cam, you shouldn't see many misfires at idle. What's your afr at idle when warm?
