    I've seen a VS activate the P0300 code.

    You're not disabling it, you're setting it to not reporting. There's a big difference.

    The VS cam will set the P0300 code.

    Setting the P0300 code to no reporting will completely disable any misfire detection on the scantool. Setting to no mil light is preferable if you don't have scanning emission testing in your area. Ignore any misfires detected below 1500rpm on the scantool.
