I wonder how that stuff would look on vinyl? I think I'm going to wrap my hood in CF, that stuff might help protect it.

I'm sure it would be fine. I'm okay with plastidip in small doses, but this new stuff is fantastic.

Plastidip again? The new CarCraft shows an overall and two-toned job with Elasti-Dip, and they tried some clear with flakes added. The manufacturer also offers an electric $60 spray rig that looked to work pretty well. To me the whole idea throws away perfectly good paint money, and its counter-intuitive because the main feature is that its made to come off, rather than stick. Not fer this guy.
got a local guy round here that has is car dipped.. looks amazing, and its colours you don't get from auto makers!
Gimme back my top gear.
I'm paying for my mortgage with Bing Rewards! You can too!
I agree, but once the car dips below a certain value, paying all that money for a professional paint job...seems pointless. My paint on the Saab is so far from perfect and I've done the best I can with it, this new gloss stuff they have seems like a decent solution to make my car look new again for only $500-600 (paying some to dip the car). Seems like a feasible option. And the stuff can last as long as you want it to last.
Down side for me though is I will no longer have a use will my flex polisher and the thousands of dollars worth of equipment I have for buffing the car.
Who knows, maybe I'll decide to say **** it and have the car professionally done.
the back doors turn a bit purple 20%. fronts are 35%. i need to re do all the doors. both back doors got messed up. gonna order pre cut tint from ebay and redo all 4 doors in 20%. the stuff i got from them for the back window is still dark. no purple at all.
Doooo 5% es soo nice
i cant see out the windows at night as it is lol so NO!
NJ seems to have dropped the tint laws too. we pass inspection with tint now. only reason i had the 35% up front.
