can we call him hippo then
My dad is scared as hell that I m going to go too fast an put the Grand Prix into a tree or something
prove him wrong. thats what i did.
my parents thought i would be crashing left and right, not the case. i was also never on my parents insurance either, they refused to put me on their policy lol
Just talked with insurance, coverage starts tomorrow. 1300$ a year!!
Sucks if you have to do that, but it all comes with responsibility! Parents still paying for it as long as im doing good at school, but eventually start paying! Helps relieve alot of stress with college, but dont want to hear the bs of "mommy and daddys boy." Raised to work hard and do good in school along with 2 other sibblings they are doing the exact same thing for. The last 2 statements are on point though
That's how my parents do it. I do great in school and as long as I'm in it and doing my best they are more than happy to put a little extra money out for insurance and gas. And I was still raised on a farm and am no stranger to physical labor. I still work and pay for anything else. It pisses me off when people pull the the mommy and daddy's boy card. My parents also did the same with my two other siblings as well. Wow, this is weird. Lol
When I went to any country concerts and I see trucks being driven by 17 year olds that 30 year old men couldn't afford I would always yell when's daddy's truck gotta be home. Because I worked and bought my own truck bought everything for it and did all of the mechanical work myself.
I totally agree Ilovegm. I think it really does help that parents are so supportive, because if not it would be extremely hard to stay focused in school, and to pay for all these bills. I do not know how people can do it especially with the amount of homework you get and studying for exams. I understand that too theaceofspades. Like i dont expect my parents to throw out alot of money for a first car even or to take care of me my whole life and because it is your first car, you will hit things. It was to help me get on my feet and keep going so i can succeed in the future and teach that to my children when i get older. I want to be able to buy another car and im excited for it so i have something to be proud of knowing I worked for it myself.
i got a rock. no money for jack sh it. all my cars i bought, i insured and put gas and repairs into them all on my own.
and its not like i grew up poor, my parents just sucked a dick lol you want a car, get a job. thats all i heard.
I do very well in school too and I think I am extremely responsible for my age. Those were the main reasons that I even got the car in the first place. I had a job as "shop *****" at a garage near my house and between that money and Christmas and my birthday I should have enough to afford the car. After my first full weekend driving though, I have to say, it really does make me feel more adult-like lol.
