Well I finally got my license test scheduled for early Halloween morning. If I don't fail, the Grand Prix will make an appearance on the street for the first time in almost a year! I am so nervous, did you guys pass the first time?

The 65 hours are divided like 10 night, 10 "bad weather", etc. not too bad. It just sucks that I have had to practice in my dad's truck, and then I am going to drive the Grand Prix everyday.

Passed the permit test first time. The rules in Nebraska are something like 40 hours of driving (10 of which at night) and you have to wait atleast 6 months and then you can take the test when you are 16 then your parents sign the form. I passed first time easy peasy.

Just for your driver's license? Hell, here you only need 24 hours of class time and 50 hours of non-class driving time (which doesn't matter because no one really monitors that). When I took driving school there were kids that got it done in about a month and a half lol. Of course along with the six months you have to wait after you get your temp.

Also, for driver's test I used my aunt's cobalt. It was so easy in maneuverability when I was practicing that I was trying to see how fast I could go through the cones. It also helped having driving experience years in advance. Another advantage of farming.

i passed a written moped permit test, and passed that road test.

then i passed the written drivers lic test, no pc back in the day first shot, passed the driving test first shot, drove a 88 toronado for the test.

then took a cdl class b with air brake endorsement, passed also paper, no pc yet, and passed the driving test.

then like a jerk i let my cdl go, needed it back, so i had to re test, passed that on a pc along with the air brake endorsement and then passed the road test.

NJ makes you get a permit, its good for 6 months for a cdl. they wont let you take the driving test for at least 30 days.

back in the day if you were 16.5 years old, took drivers ed in HS you could get your permit, but couldn't get a lic till you were 17. when you have a permit you need a lic driver with you and you dont drive at night. once you had your lic you could do whatever you wanted too, none of this one year probation crap and no other passengers, ect. you kids got it tough these days in some states.

Just an interesting point of conversation, a friend of mine told me that if you take the test in a vehicle with backup cameras etc, you are able to use them for the license test. I think my parents should by a new car...

Had a farm permit at 14.5... took drivers ed as a summer course deal in school... had to have 50 hours w/ 10 night. Walked in the next day, and they took my mug and gave the license.

    Congrats..

Now you gotta pay insurance that you hope to never use
Now you'll pay gas and likely drive all your poor friends around
    Now your car is dirty
Now you'll have road rage like many others
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
