[QUOTE=But the people who have been REALLY following this daily on none biased networks and radio knows exactly what i'm talking about. QUOTE]
Amen to that. It's so frustrating when people argue with bias "facts" and rumors and media beliefs. Anyone seen the movie Equalibrium? I feel like everyone around me is taking a pill and I'm the only one that can see the facts.
What we "racist white-folk" need to do now is start embracing the fact that the "black-folk" no longer have bogus claims of oppression to throw at us. The most "unlikely" candidate came through with the win; it shows us that anyone can run for president and make it, and that racism is not an issue. "They" have their "black" president now, so they cannot continue to accuse "us" of holding "them" back.
*Note: lots of quotation usage to help emphasis the point.
Conflicting statements! You seem like a well informed younger person, but do not believe for a moment any ounce of MSM is fair, balanced, or unbiased. The media has supported the Obama win since day one.
I agree about Deezul too. I dont agree with some of the things he says, but he challenges my thinking and my views and my conclusions (at least in the political arena) and it forces to make sure my process to decision and the information I used is accurate and viable to base my decision on. So to that I say thanks.
I still dont like you though.
Ummm, that was a joke, you're supposed to be laughing.
Wow, I didn't think 34 made me young, but thanks! I just like to engage in debate and discussion in civil tones. When name calling comes up, it just turns me off.
That Fox comment - a bit of sarcasm there.
Ignorance is bliss - I can't tell you how many times I've heard the "Obama is a Muslim" comment, and corrected people. As well as the "Obama is not a citizen" comments. But they don't want to hear it. People will be believe what they want, myself included.
George W. Bush's legacy? He lead the way for Obama to be elected. Playing the what if game here.
2000 - Al Gore wins. 9/11 attacks still happen. 2004, John McCain runs, and Americans want a battle tested war hero running the country. 2008, McCain runs for a second term, we may never had been IN Iraq, so he wins. Possible Demo candidates? John Kerry, Hillary Clinton, maybe Obama, but he wouldn't get much traction and probably would wait a few years until 2012.
Or, if Bush wins 2000...
2004 - John Kerry wins the Presidency. War in Iraq is still the same, Dems take the blame since the President is to blame. Dems don't pick up the majority in the Senate in 2006. Big Dems loses in 2008 Congress, John McCain runs in 2008 and wins, Obama runs maybe in 2012.
If Obama had first run in 2012, some of the experience argues would be tempered, assume he won re-election in 2010, he'd have 8 years of experience. There was also speculation that he would have returned to Illinois to run as governor if he had not run for President.
History lesson here - Going from the Senate to the Presidency doesn't happen often. It's usually former VPs or Governors. I think Kennedy was the only other sitting Senator to be elected President. One or two sitting Congressman, Lincoln one of them, have been elected President.
Just my opinion...
You mean I missed it?![]()
Does this mean that when I have to come to your house to take away your firearms, I'm expected to give mine up too?
I voted. Got a free coffee out of it at Starbucks too.
Want me to lie? Americans voted for a terroist simple as that. For one he's muslim and for two he WON'T pledge is allegence to the USA therefor he's a terriost simple as that. Might as well kick out Biden as vice and put in Osma Bin Laden now.
I'm not racist at all but i'm gonna call it out exactly how it happened. Since a fellow African American was running, several African Americans decided to register to vote. Alot of them didn't know what he stood for or really gave a ****, they put him in because they HAD TO put a fellow African American in office. You can't tell me this didn't happen because it did and infact I know several African Americans who did just that, yet they can't tell you a damn thing other than change. Change what? There alot to fix, not change and **** up the gov't. Call me a racist or whatever, but i'm not. I'm just calling it like it is. Like it or hate it.
I do not agree with the government helping lazy people so much. I live in small town Iowa so there is cheap housing and we have many people move to the apartments her with government funding. Now we are in the top 10 cities in the US for meth. As honest working americans help pay for food and housing for them. I am not saying everyone on welfare is worthless there are many honest people who have had a hard time and need a little help and I am fine with that. When people take advantage of the system and just reap the benefits it makes me extremely angry. I have older friends 30s-40s who work for a food store in town and watch people pay for food with their food stamps and then drive away in a escalde how does that work? Also note they were buying steaks, chips, pop and other comfort type foods with the card.
So that is why i did not agree with Obama
I totally agree with you. Abby works for a very large child care facility. It makes her sick day in and day out when these parents come and swipe there card for gov't child care and they drive new cars and have there nails done. Its BS, i'm paying for that **** and it pisses me off. Theres so many people out there who need to be completely cut off gov't help its not even funny. The people who really need the help don't get it. If something happens to me whos gonna help me? No one, i'm screwed. I work very hard for what I have and I have for years. I can support myself, why do I need to support others who are most likely lazy and won't help themselves?
As for which party i'm for, i've been for either or in the past i'm not for one single party.
