OK,
Conversation topics.
NOT SCHOOL! Maybe something around school, but not stuff like classes and whatnot (unless she loves to talk about history or something, idk)
Talk about her friends, if she has a job FOR SURE talk to her about that... girls love to talk about the people they hate at work (then you can start making fun of her, and point out people around you at that point, use your environment as much as you can).
Not a great first question, but asking about family is usually a great one. Brothers sisters, etc.. usually they suggest the parents situation (its divorce 50% of the time remember, so dont really ask about it unless you can do it with some authority).
DONT ask about the past, past boyfriends, past experiences work, but only if you are going somewhere with it.
College / career plans are decent, but pretty bland for a highschooler... college guys you can tear this one up usually.
COLD SET CONVERSATION STUFF AKA PICKUP LINES!!!
opinion pickup lines are GREAT for noobs to random conversation, ask ANY opionion on anything... starbux line.. ask about flavors, etc...
"who lies more girls or guys?"
(I dont use these much, so I am a bit short on them). Biggest key to any opening line is to blow off it REALLY fast even if she is into it, so it doesnt look pickupy... go right into a "normal" conversation topic even though it feels really forced and stuff. the idea of the pickup line is just to get the talking started, then sorta trick them into talking about things that make sense.
My cold approach technique is usually very direct along the lines of "I thought you were really pretty/cute/had a great aura/a really cool look and wanted to come talk to you".
No girl can really turn down legitimate compliments... it takes a real ***** to turn down a conversation afterwards too.
