I get this a lot from folks trying to share their little tips with me. Which are great, if I happen to be going past their favorite spot. But I simply refuse to go out of my way - I've got places to be and things to do.

Don't be afraid to mouse-over the panel.
    xkcd: Working
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

I tend to refill around a 1/4 tank and usually stop at the same Loves station on my way home. I like it there, the same usual crew given the time of day I usually stop in, they know me, I know them, I just pull up and wave and the pump turns on. Nice thing about repeat business.

However If I'm not in my hometown and out on the road, I just stop wherever I can get 91+ because saving 2 dollars in the end after I spend 50-60 to fill up... it's just not worth the hassle of finding the cheapest place.

That's what I get for trying to be quick with my forum time. Shoot. Hey mod-fella? Wanna scoot this to the lounge for me? Or rants, I guess. I dunno, whatever makes you happy.

Pump turns on automatically for me everywhere I go, just a quick swipe of the card.

I usually get a drink or some snacks when I go in, so I don't pay at the pump, I hate multiple transactions, just ball it up to one.

Plus when you pay at the pump they hold an extra $75+/- out of my card for a couple days...that throws off my balancing... just easier for me to pay inside
