being a left foot brake'er , this would never happen to me.

left foot braking is a carry over from truck driving, if you want to downshift with out the clutch, you need your right foot to goose the gas, and while using the left foot to brake. i never touch the clutch unless its going in 1 st or reverse.
If I'm cruising I use my right foot. If I'm in a congested area I use both left and right.
