This comment may get me banned here... .... but I hate the S/C whine. Sounds like a wind up toy getting ready to go to me. I hadn't heard the whine in quite a while when I was planning adding a M90. Then I drove my buddy's SS and decided I don't want my car to sound like that.

Plus, I can have fun modding the car now, then when the time comes most of the mods will support and add to the turbo.

theres nothing like getting planted in the chair when that badboy kicks on!!!! the whine is sweet. plus for 1200$ you cant go wrong as cheap power. i love the turbos i had a GN but the m90 is a pretty good setup for a nice quick street car

For some, sure. But not for me.

Maybe. I'm not in the position to go spending $1200 on my car at the moment. That's why I'm doing little things to keep me sane that will be complemented by what I will add later on.

If I go SC, I guess I could make some money back by selling the HV3, HVTB, ER rockers, stainless Plog, and ceramic x-over (which all but the x-over would complement a turbo nicely). But then I would also need headers, and I'd want 1.9s because I'm not going to pop a damn piston by running higher compression ratio.

Also, with the SS M90 kit, it's cheaper to top swap. At least that way I'd have the opportunity to rebuild and clean the heads and do rockers in a much more comfortable position.

i kept my er rockers in there, also running the ported rear and plog, tim @ ZZP said the pacesetters suck and im better keeping what i have now. the rear manifold is a pretty straight piece so i dont see the need for headers.

Stop putting ideas in my head.

I'll consider it, but does that $1200 include cores?

well theres a kid on club gp selling the blower and LIM for 500, then u need the rails which are 380 and the install kit which is 200. and a set of injectors, i run the 42 lbs cause i plan on dropping smaller pulleys , etc so yeah for about 1200 you'll have a hella faster car and it bolts up in an afternoon!!! heres the link

I'm not ready to buy now, so stuff that's selling from private parties doesn't help me any. I'll figure what it would cost if I drop the HV3 from the equation (was about to purchase it) and go for broke. Maybe I can get a LIM and blower from Morad.

All of this is hypothetical. I still don't like the whine.

im just saying, i bought my logs, and LIM for $250 from a user on here that alone saved me big bucks. all i did was buy the blower, injectors and install kit and here i am, hopefully when she goes on the dyno it will make some great power, it feels 100x faster

I'm up to 1245 at ZZP (before my slight discount which usually covers shipping). That's using ZZP's core for the LIM, but no core for the blower since $400 is unreal. So, add whatever it costs me to find a blower.

Only things not on there are new injectors and injector connectors. This gets real expensive real quick and you can see why I don't want to go this route. I don't like buying used parts off members anyway. Something like a LIM is fine, but I want something like a blower to be looked over and guaranteed to be in good working order before I drop some cash on it.
