Cause they are actually kicking my ass....

    Here's the expression:
    70 14 4 5 15 3 / * - - / 6 + =

    I came up with -18

    Work:
    (70 / 14) - 4 - 5 * (15 / 3) + 6
    (5) - 4 - 5 * (5) + 6
    1 - 25 + 6
    -24 + 6
    -18

    Anybody got any input?

This is actually for a Level 3 Java programming class, a step towards my Master's, it is a nice little incorporation with my Nano Scale engineering and Project development and management.

I think I have it right, just need someone else to clarify that my way of thinking is correct...it's hard to tell when you need parentheses or not

Yeah, but then you have to break it down and some how know when to have parentheses added. Its so effn' backwards

I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

no, its a real concept. i am just unaware of where it would be used. he said he was in a java class, so that'd make sense to me.

however, i dont know **** about java and i hate programming so i normally stay out of it.

Nick...I know..but since no one has a clue about that stuff and I am a genius..then ...he's on his own and we should still drink beers.

You arguing about having a beer?

    same.

You got ahead of yourself here.

    (5) - 4 - 5 * (5) + 6

Do the problem in order and you will get the correct answer

I didn't forget at all man.

Multiply the number of beers in the fridge because my stupid state won't allow me to buy after 9pm. aka the Plan To Get Drunk Theorum

Then divide by the possible number of friends that'll show up to drink said beer and multiply again. aka Cover My Azz To Ensure Drunkeness Theorum (Might explain the second fridge for alcohol)

Now add or subtract beer to the fridge as the friends bring it or drink it. Also known as the How Good Of A Friend Are They Hypothesis

Which leads us to the answer ... Are They Ever Getting Invited Again!

Stop laughing..you got work to do.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

I don't think postfix expressions follow that rule. I could be wrong.
