I feel amazing compared to then. I can run jump and do pretty much anything that I couldn't before. Couldn't hardly jog before now I can run well over a mile (Always get bored lol). Hell today I put in a heavy arm workout, did the usual curls, tricep pulldowns and such then did (4 sets x10 deep dips),(200 cable crunches), (50 wide pushups) after I was intending to be done with my workout.
Got another 34lbs to go. Want to hit 200lbs. Don't think I'll be able to get much lower than that without losing muscle.
If that's unassisted, you're a friggin' beast! I can do about 5 unassisted deep dips now, after months of working at it (started only being able to do negatives).
Also, Bio: This is legit. I don't really train with beer, but a lot of guys are starting to and seeing good results (possibly, just because it is just something to make running better, not necessary an athletic supplement). 365 days of beer and running ยป Beer Runner blog | DRAFT Magazine
Wow. I've lost 15lbs in about a month and half. 267 to 251.4 now.
Over the summer I dropped 55lbs I was a 305lb offensive lineman until the team was cut so I dropped weight. Now im 245lbs and might transfer to become a tight end. Still trying to drop a wee bit more tho, 15-20 more lbs and ill be set.
theres no real need for cardio. sure it makes you healthier and stuff. if your looking to lose weight though you can just consume less calories, eat at a greater deficit.
doing supersets when lifting is the balls. work straight through one set and instead of taking a rest period move into another excersise working another muscle group. while your doing your second set the muscles worked in your first set get to rest. but you dont. keeping your heart rate up, makes for an intense fast paced workout
Cardio is very important.
yes matt it is dont get me wrong, its great foor heart health and endurance. im not saying that cardio should be ignored by any means. im just saying that you dont have to spend three days a week on a treadmill. if youre eating at a deficit, a healthy deficit, then you dont have to rely as heavily on cardio as one may think.
take me for example i could go out running everyday but my knees cant take it. id be useless for a few days after a mile run. so i personally have not been doing as much cardio. and for those who are morbidly obese and may not be able to hit a treadmill for any amount of time without getting discouraged. it could be detrimental to their weight loss. once you get more fit and can do the cardio, you should.
Oh for weight loss, running might not help as much as you'd think.
Most end up going right past the fat burn levels right into the cardio levels.
But for general health, its very important.
There are other machines that are much easier on the knees than treadmills.
Also having quality running shoes goes a long way.
