AWD does that to a vehicle sadly. If it were RWD it's probably be doing a lot better as far as power to the wheels.

RWD would be far better at putting down the power, but for a daily driver I would choose the AWD. It would work better than even FWD in the winter. From GM's POV if they were going to build a RWD GP then it would be to similar to the Firebird. But making it AWD opens up a new market niche.
Man.. think about it though.. if it were AWD then we can do some crazy drift video's lol

if anyone you where around when this was released. Almost every time that car made a 1/4 mile run it almost always broke something in the awd system.
