Shanw,
I am not sure what you mean by issue? I am happy to answer any question aboout filters, ours or others to best of my knowledge. If your talking about the fiber end caps, it is really a non issue. We have been making filters that way for 20 years. We make Honda and Subaru OE filters the same way. AC Delco filters now have a felt end cap, even the 345,000 Bentley Arnage has a filter with fiber end caps. Most new cars have cartridge filters with no end caps at all. The issue with end caps exists because WIX has made a industry of telling people our design is not as good as theirs, they use steel end caps and we use fiber. The bottomline is the end cap does nothing but seal the end of the media and the fiber end cap bonds to the fiber media far better than steel ever could. The end cap is not a structural elemnet of the filter. They also go on and on that they have a coil spring and we have a leaf spring inside. I have recently cut open 45 brands of oil filters and 43 had leaf springs and two had coil springs, if they were no good you would not see so many companies using the leaf spring.
