Def a evo VIII IX Dirt cheap bolt ons and Id love the AWD for winter. Please just take the damn spoiler off 1st thing!
Or find a .....Hate to say it.......Fox body mustang? Simply because the parts are even cheaper than the Evo's and the entry cost is way less also.

however, with 15k no one is buying an EVO or an STI unless you get one with high mileage. trust me, i've been looking for a good amount of time now keeping track of prices and even ones with 50k miles are still going for about $18k.

My buddy is selling his NBM '02 SS with Welds and a bunch of mods and it has about 50K on it...pretty sure he is asking less than 15K.
Should be able to search BluebeaSSt on google or something to find the car.

Pretty sure a bolt on WRX would beat a stock STI prety easy and still stay under the 15k mark. Same for the SRT-4 look a ton better with no wing. Dont know who has it on here but "silly ricers usless wings are for penguins" Is right on the money. Why attract the attention?

Seriously though who here drives a modded car under 60k miles?? Id argue milage dont mean much if its documented and taken care ofAutotrader lists 5 STIs under 15K search 2002-2010 15k max

the WRX isnt wide body, doesnt have the better differentials and bigger axles, doesnt have a driver controlled center diff, doesnt have a bigger intercooler, doesnt have a bigger turbo, doesnt have a 6 speed, doesnt have HIDs...it goes on. the STI is a step above the WRX and you can't mimic it.
i agree that you can find them, but find one that isnt modded (besides like a cat back) for under $15k. i refuse to buy someone elses mess again. i already went through that with my grand prix.

1) '03 Cobra - (if I could find one for $15K)
2) LS2 GTO (I have an '04...but why not?)
3) Low-mileage CTS...love those cars
WRX for $15K = not a car I would buy without A LOT of research...something would HAVE to be wrong with it, or the deal of the century.
But really, I'd take the money, fix my Goat, and mod my '68 C10.

I do understand and knew the differences but the losses have to be cut somewhere when looking at a max price range. As far as buying someone elses mess that pretty much goes for anything unless its brand new. Who knows if the pervious owner took care of it or beat on it reguarless if its modded or not. Ill take a car modded to the hilt with doccuments over a stock car of the same type same milage with no history every day of the week. Owned both since just under 50K my 04 envoy and my 02 grand prix neither have ever left me stranded. Modded no, both over 100K and I certianly dont baby my Gp at 1k miles a week.

What about the 300ZX I love the style of these cars but might as well find one for around 10k because the rest might be needed for maint. Never owned one but everyone says their a mightmare to work on like the 3000Gts and Stealths also.

but i agree with this post except for CTS. they look good but not sure how they perform.

Another thing to keep in mind is if you go N/A you gotta tear into the engine to make decent power (Most of the time). If you are the guy who isnt afraid of that, then go for it. IMO boosted cars are quite a bit easier to get power out of.

Thats what i thought i was looking at like g35, camaro, GTO but i want to know more maybe something i am forgetting or not looking into so i can look into
