Those things are a pain to work on and very expensive. I ran into a lady in a walmart parking lot who blew a hole in the oil pan in her S4. She said she'd just spent $900 fixing it. I told her it was best if she didn't drive it. She did. I saw it on the side of the highway smoking omw home.![]()
I still say get a MazdaSpeed6
Mazdaspeed6's are trash, stay away!
^^^That thing is *trying* to emulate a Lotus Esprit.
I think It'll take around $25K if you want a new DMC-12 DeLorean & for that much they could've junked the Peugot engine & thrown in an L67.
Ok, here's what I'm thinking...
You can find one for about $10k in decent shape, doesn't matter if it doesn't run since the PRV motor will be thrown out anyway. Then drop in an L67 w/ like a 3" pulley and all that good stuff. I've seen a pic of a Northstar V8 shoehorned into one so I know an L67 would fit. Hmmm... Lotus suspension, 2,700 lbs, RWD w/ 5-spd & 300+ HP? It can be done for $15k. Definitely worth a daydream.
