This afternoon I installed a cheap little catch can, after I cleaned the TB and saw a film of oil inside the intake, did some research and found that I needed a catch can.
Parts, catch can(ebay 15bucs) Custom Bracket( 30 bucs lol, made local)
Painted it gold because I can and I'm doing Gold and black under the hood.
Bracket mounted
Completed, I think it came out great.

Nice job on the catch can. I have one on mine but I did not make it myself... I think I paid $80 for it from a company called elite engineering... you will be surprised at how much oil that thing will trap...

Thank you Sir, I watched a bunch of videos and read a lot about these things, wish I could have spent 110 for the nice billet one with built in bracket from ebay or better yet a MightyMouse catch can, but this is what I could afford. I haven't taken a picture of mine yet mike. I just got the 3/8th hose today after it being lost in the mail for 3 weeks. watch my video tho and you can see where I put it. It's the same speed daddy one you have. I just used and existing bolt under the abs module and made a bracket with the pieces that came with the kit. I painted them black also.

Nice, you know me though, love my gold, damn bracket cost more than the can LOL. Hey, where did you get those coil pack covers? I need something like that, all the ones I see are high priced.

Yeah, the black and gold look sick though. You can rock some gold wheels man! Haha.
I got the holley coil covers. They were 150 ish.. Made of abs plastic. Off ebay was the cheapest I believe.

Kind of expensive. Or just paint your coil packs and valve covers for a custom look. Gold coils and black valve covers:sly:

Yeah, those are what I saw on the bay. I am seriously contemplating some mate gold wheels.
I actually am going to to paint the coil packs(not the bracket they sit on), valve covers, throttle body and strut brace gold. Need valve cover gaskets before I get started. The weather here is in the 70/80's, perfect for painting. Also need to paint my calipers gold.
One the G8's I posted earlier had a 6.6 in it with painted packs and valve covers(same color) looked killer.

Well, I roughly have $8,000 invested into my GP. Plus, what the car is worth, lets say $2,500. So; 8,000 + 2,500 = $10,500 is what my GP must be worth
If I trade my GP, then I'll only owe you $6,500 cash on top of my car.

It was a great day, got my son his first Vehicle, a 99 Chevy Silverado Z71 5.3L(checked the vin code). It has a few quirks to repair, but all together it was money well spent. Paid 1500 for the truck, found out TT&L is going to be about $225. Total should be about 1750ish. The soldier was asking 1900, but I offered 1400 and he countered with 1500, which ended up being the final price. Oh it had a Sony Bluetooth radio in it also which was nice. Had my son clean the inside, put some LED 194's in the floor area, lit up real nice. The truck also came with 4 new Falken AT's and it has single in dual out 40 series Flowmaster with echo tips at 45*, sounds real nice too. In my opinion, It think I scored. Oh yeah, if your wondering why it looks different, it has Cadillac Escalade lights, grill and bumper.

I always cringe at 99's, either it's pretty problem free or it has a million electrical problems.
Either way the 5.3 will run a long time, early models are known for lifter ticks and piston slap on cold starts too.

Thanks, now I can haul stuff from the house, rather than just haul ass in the goat, haha, my son loves the fact that it's HIS truck.
