but as stated, you'll have to get the car tuned for it or it'll run all kinds of dumb.
I took down the little ridge between the front and back of the TB. Not enough to break through in any places. Just a nice flow now from intake through TB. Left the center piece alone. Maybe someday down the road i'd mess w/ that but i just want to get this stupid thing running. Been apart so long i'm worried i wont remember how to put it back together.

Yeah, got some stuff from there. This other company just has the channel plate gaskets for like super cheap, so was wondering if anyone has used them before.

So I took a chance and got the pressure manifold solenoid and the channel plate gasket for the trans from http://www.buffaloengine.com. Parts arrived and I can now report that the manifold solenoid is an ACDelco replacement part. It cost about $20 plus shipping... http://www.buffaloengine.com/catalog...h-mlps-1997-02
The channel plate gaskets i think were the best deal, $1.68 for one and $1.71 for the other.

Nothing against triple edge. I've ordered parts from them too. But they wanted $14 for the pair on the channel plate gasket. Just thought these were good deals and I'd pass them along.

Can the clutch assembly on the a/c compressor be removed? Do I need a "special" tool? Mine was making noise and I just want to swap the clutch out from the compressor that was on this new engine.

02navyblue just did a clutch change, yes you need the right tools and he said he did it bolted on the car too.

left it in what did you do to your car thread.

Speed daddy exhaust headers do have egr passage built in. Looking for opinions. Should I put the egr system back on? Block off egr on new exhaust? Next question is to block the egr in the new exhaust, if thats what I decide to do, should I just have that straight welded off or weld a small cover on it so it could be removed and egr reinstalled by future potential owners?

block off EGR. never put it back on.

cut off the flanges from the EGR and seal up those holes, reinstall blocked off flanges. basically free block off plates.

it's what most of us old school guys did.

i used a couple coins and some RTV. you can weld them shut if you want them to be legit, too.

I was going to coin and rtv the egr hole on the LIM but I like your previous idea. I figured welding the exhaust would be easy considering the material.

Right, take flange off egr, block that off(in some fashion) and bolt to LIM, for egr port on new exhaust, weld a cover over hole for egr.

Put new o-rings on the fuel injectors today, cleaned up some gasket surfaces. Still have to put the SC back together and pick up the gaskets for it but getting closer...

So I know I had previously been scolded not to do the lifters...but with the discovery that this engine prob isn't an 03 and therefore I don't really know the mileage, I decided to go ahead and pull the lifters. Three were stuck and gummed up so I'm glad I did it. I also finished porting the supercharger housing and bought the rest of the gaskets I need to get this engine back together.
