Re: 2000 GTP...and so it begins...(LOTS of PICS)
Vogtlands are in, but the stupid camera battery was dead so I didn't get any pics. Pretty easy install overall, drop is meh for now. I know they need to settle. I will say this car is a BEAST on corners now. I went down HWY14 East which is a relatively curvy road with hills and such and it took everything I could throw at it. Stock, the fastest I could go would be maybe 40 (around curves) and I would start to feel her letting go. After the struts, dorman front sway, and GMPP rear it wasn't that much better, maybe 50, but it felt more "safe" doing so. Yesterday I was going 70 and never batted an eye, it felt like I was doing 40-45. I have no pogo or vibration at the moment, but that may change after they settle a bit. I only got one pic of the lowering, and it was before going for that drive. I basically drove to get lunch, drove home, and took this picture. It sits a little lower in the front now, but it's still squatting a bit (or appears to be).

Re: 2000 GTP...and so it begins...(LOTS of PICS)
I've been tossing around the idea of doing Vogtlands in the near future. Did you take any measurements before you put them in?
Re: 2000 GTP...and so it begins...(LOTS of PICS)
I did for the rear, I'll have to pull forward a bit and measure again. It's really not much of a drop so far. One of those things where after I mention it to my buddies they notice.
Re: 2000 GTP...and so it begins...(LOTS of PICS)
I measured and on both rear wheels I dropped a half inch so far. I've put maybe 20 miles on the car as a high estimate.

i got frozen white crap all over the place here lol
Re: 2000 GTP...and so it begins...(LOTS of PICS)
It'll give me time to build the retros, lol.
Re: 2000 GTP...and so it begins...(LOTS of PICS)
I just bought L76 springs, Viton seals, and Intense retainers...

Like the portable power.. Thought for sure you being the gadget geek would have a spare comp. power supply
You look kinda small in the last pic.
Oh yeah ..springs look good

That's what she said. lol. I have a spare power supply, but the truck's battery was closer. That's my boy in the last pic going "look a the colors!" It looks to be pretty straight, but I'm gonna trim the shroud a bit more just to be safe. Then I'll button it all up minus the lens and put them on at some point this week, depening on weather. I still have install the halos and all that just too, but I think the hard parts is done for the most part.

Make sure to aim them on the car before permanently mounting the projector and before you seal the lens

and if you have any doubts about the seal....run black rtv around them

That's the plan, but I'm going to pull the projector back out to clean everything up, trim the shroud a bit more, install the halos, and run the wires for the halo\solenoid. Then I'll put the projector in for the final time, but leave the nut slightly loose. Then I'll aim it on the car and tighten them up one the car, pull the whole thing off, and seal it all up again. RTV will be used for sure, lots of it.
Re: 2000 GTP...and so it begins...(LOTS of PICS)
Halo is installed, hole drilled for wires and everything is cleaned up. If there wasn't 8 inches of snow on the car\ground then I can go aim this one. Oh well, I'll start on the other one.

Halo is BRIGHT. I mean damn.
Re: 2000 GTP...and so it begins...(LOTS of PICS)
Moving right along wasting no time.
I might have missed it... are you using new headlights?
Re: 2000 GTP...and so it begins...(LOTS of PICS)
Yep, I picked up some TYC's from Rockauto.
Re: 2000 GTP...and so it begins...(LOTS of PICS)
Very nice progress on the headlights, don't know if I missed it but what's your running cost on the headlight project
Re: 2000 GTP...and so it begins...(LOTS of PICS)
Around $430, I'm actually paying full price for everything this time, lol. Even the Addco sway, and Vogtlands. I've never really done that before, lol. It was $350 shipped from TRS for everything but the housings, and $60 plus shipping from Rockauto for the headlights. I'm not sure what shipping was on the headlights cuz I ordered all the suspension stuff from them at the same time. I'bought the 70mm halos, 5500k bulbs, and the glue from TRS, and they all cost a bit more. I figured I'm "going all out" with taxes this year, might as well do the best of what I can. It's funny, with how much is done to the car suspension wise, I don't really drive it that hard, it's really a cruiser most of the time.
Re: 2000 GTP...and so it begins...(LOTS of PICS)
This stuff is so much easier the second time. I have everything ready to mount the halo except drilling the hole for the wires, I have plenty of room for adjustment (more than the passenger), and I have about 45 min. into it, lol.
