just did lower intake gaskets on my gtp figured i would share a few pics

i got all the parts from the dealer and i did in fact use metal lim gaskets

cleaned everything i could in the parts washer before re installing

after i got it running i used engine degreeser on everything but the intake filter

everything turned out great, my engine runs cooler and i get better mpgs, before the engine ran about 195 at highway speeds, now without having the computer on it and just guessing off the gauge i would say its in the mid 180s

i went from an average of 18.2mpgs on the DIC or whatever its called to about 24mpgs

all in all it took about a week from when i noticed the coolant leak to ordering the parts and getting it back on the road

i ended up changing the lower intake gaskets, supercharger gasket, coolant elbows, valve cover gaskets/grommets and the throttle body gasket

as of right now the tensioner for the s/c has gotten weak and needs replaced, on start up you can watch the belt jump off the tensioner and jump over a grove on the crank pully! but it only does it once.

the right rear caliper is leaking but i cant seem to find a replacement for it thats factory powder coated

and the sun roof acts up when its over 75ish degrees outside

usally at highway speeds it sits at the first hash past the 1/4 line

i also ordered a few comp G badges since mine never got one in 04 (early build date)
