When I go wot and come to a stoplight or where I have to sit for a few seconds, I get a rotten egg smell in the car, most likely coming through the vents. I also smell it outside the car when I get out, until it blows away with the wind.

Would it be a bad cat converter? North Dakota doesn't have emissions inspections so its no big deal, just curious.

Yep, sounds like a partially clogged cat. Time to replace it.

Alright. Since North Dakota doesn't care about emissions, do you know if I were to get a catless 3" downpipe from zzp or something would I have to get a tune? Car is totally stock by the way.

Well if you get a p0420 code, a tune will help or do the anti-fouler trick. I would also recommend the zzp o2 sim as a third option but at that price, I would just get a tune. better benefits.

Ok. Luckily I haven't had any codes yet since I bought it a year a half ago. I might buy some SD headers but that will be sometime in the distant future.

Well with what I've learned on here, 01 and up won't like cat removed without tuning the PCM
