    Im new here and I'm in need of help. I have a 01 gtp and for some reason my car will start up and go through its normal high idle then when the car warms up it will run fine for about a min or two then it drops rpms and seems to bog between 300-400 rpms. if I hit the accelerator it has about a half second hesitation then when I let off it drops to about 200rpm and lights in car dim then goes back to the bog between 300-400 rpm. ive replaced the cam sensor, coolent temp sensor, tested alternator and replaced battery. im not getting an engine light. I'm about out of ideas and starting to get frustrated. Anybody have any ideas?

    we kinda need to know what you drive? gp gtp. year, miles, and last known tune up.

    if your n/a it could be a bad fpr, pull its vac line and see if its got gas in it or smells of gas.

    it could be a dirty throttle body if thats never been cleaned before. its best to take it off and clean it, its the back side that gets dirty.

    the cel ever flash when your driving it hard? or does it run ok driving? just the idle and start up part?

    it was weird I replaced the cam sensor about 5 days ago. it ran fine. got me to work then on the way back I was driving and coming up to a stop light and when I took my foot off the accelerator it damn near died and I had to drive with to feet to keep the car running. then it went back to the same bogging issue. ive tried to look it up and ask around but I get so many different answers and nothing seems to be working lol. and sorry im kinda nooby whats the cel?

    cel= check engine light.

    test the fuel pressure yet at the rail? you can do the free rental at the parts stores. fuel pump maybe taking a slow death. you want to see a good 42 psi or more.

    does it feel gut less when you floor it? like its got no power going down the road? or the exhaust stink bad? if so it could also be a clogged up cat with those miles you have.

    re check the pressure, if its that low it wont run well at all.

    and your year i dont think it has a high speed resistor. thats a 97 -00 deal

    okay so if I test it again and I get anything lower than 42 it would prolly be my pump then?

    what you can do is remove the up stream o2 sensor from the rear exhaust manifold, this will make a damn good exhaust leak. if the the car has more power now the cats clogged. you need a o2 socket to remove it.

    you can also put the car on ramps or jack stands, wait for it to cool off and bang on the cat and listen for it to rattle inside. if so its shot.

    you can also drive it hard at night for a bit, then pull over to see if its glowing red. if so its clogged up.

    if the cats bad the cheap way would be to have a shop just cut out the old one and weld in a new one. or buy a walker down pipe with cat.

    being a 01 that year dont like the cat deleted.
