Well your problem is your 17, and year is newerish so its gonna be higher I think. It also depends on your state. For example, in Ohio I pay 61 month for liability. The same coverage and everything in Michigan is 133. Honestly if you are still living with your parents and they are cool with it. Put the car in their name and same with the insurance. It will be LOADS cheaper, thats what I did untill my dad tried to steal my car because it was in his name and claimed it as his, got that shiz changed over REAL fast. Others on here pay really low for full coverage but the thing is they are older thus have lower rates. Start shopping around, Statefarm, Geico, esurance, allstate, progressive, general, probably also a few others.
    2019 F150 XL - Make it run 12's N/A
    2012 F150 STX
    - Gonna be a race truck
    02 GT "Slowkar" 180k - Top Swap, Gen V, TOG Headers, 1.9s, e85, 3.25. It's literally the slowest e85 car ever....

Easy now, now that's ridiculous lol. Mine went up 10$ when I got the car in my name. I can hardly believe it goes up 150 or more even as a secondary driver. Is that for liability or full coverage?

I've had the car titles in my name since I bought the car when I was 18, I hopped on my parents plan and I am the primary driver for the vehicle.

With 5 cars on it total I pay 47 per month for full coverage through AAA.

By myself it would be a tad over 100 per month for full coverage.

Asking other people what they pay for insurance is never going to help. Insurance varies on where you live (even down to the ZIP code), driving record, how much the car is driven, age and more. Even being married and having kids could affect auto insurance.

A 2004-2008 will be cheaper. Insuring a 2004 comp g will be $1400 less a year than my 1999 GTP. I am 16, both cars full coverage. $2075 per 6 months on the 1999.
2004 Comp G "The Panda"- low, e85, big brakes SOLD
2002 Trans Am- 6 speed, bolt ons or something, it's slow.
2006 Silverado- forged ls2, 4l80e, plate kit, also slow...

    This..

Use giving you quotes is going to do nothing for you. Call around and get quotes and go from there. What's cheaper for one person isn't going to necessarily going to be the same for another and if your financing a car better believe full coverage is required.

Lmao I don't think that's necessarily true but I will say will all know how crime ridden New Orleans is.. Especially doesn't help being in hurricane central and how common flooding is in the area.. Companies are going to want to cover there ass in case something was to go wrong. Most of the time insurance is going to be high for someone young like you... I would hop on board either your parents, or grandparents insurance and it should be a lot cheap.. I'm 24 I'm still on my dad's insurance for that reason.. Way cheaper then if I was to go out and get my policy. I was paying something like $125 a month when I was still making payments for full coverage.. Now the car is paid off and when I decide to reregister it should be even cheaper this time around.
