Ive been with Progressive the past year and my insurance expires with them next month but I feel I paid way too much for car insurance and just wondering what are other good companies out there that wont charge a bunch each month. Some info, Ive tweaked my insurance coverages and options a few times and the lowest I had my insurance was $215 a month and the most was $230. But as of recent ive had it at the lower end price wise. Now in the last 3yrs ive only had 1 ticket nothing major and not one accident. Im 23 which I understand ill be paying higher for the next 2yrs but I would like to get my insurance at least around $150 a month if not much lower, any help? Oh by the way I need full coverage since im leasing my car for about the next 2yrs.

Well, if you combine your renters or home insurance (home especially) with your car insurance you can save a significant amount of money per month.

Why ate you rates so high? I'm paying $180 a month now after have 3 tickets and 2 accidents in the last 5 years.

You could see if you can lower the coverage amounts on everything. That'll help out.

It really depends on how your parent's driving history is. When I was 16, there's no way I was about to go on my dad's insurance. But my mom has never had an accident and no tickets since 1982 lol

The last 2 years when I was still paying the car off it got dropped down to $125ish w/ full coverage and one ticket. So idk why your paying so much.

With full coverage a big part of it is where you live. They analyze auto theft, etc for the area. I have co-workers who moved to a diff part of Houston or technically out of Houston and had their rates drop/increase significantly. My agent flat out told me how much my rates would change if I moved to "X" zip code.

Yea, insurance varies huge from person to person, state to state and even city to city.

I currently pay around $80 a month for full coverage on my 07. Before I bought it I had full coverage on my Stealth and it was around $70 a month. I'm also 32 with no points and no at fault accidents in the last 10 years in the state of PA. Florida's rates are higher than PA's though. If I moved down there my rates could likely double.

My parents history is real clean. My mom had one accident probably 15 years ago and that's the most recent incident. This is also 10 years ago when I started driving.

Keep in mind that if you went back on with a parent and you got into a bad accident, they will go after your parents assets once the insurance money has run out. If that were to happen.

My mom gave me that whole talk a few weeks ago, so we upgraded to another umbrella policy to insure us to over a million dollars.

exactly why i was NEVER on my parents ins.

im no kid at this point, and i pay 1000 a year for liability. heres the kicker, my lic is spotless, and no accidents.

where you live has a lot to do with your rates. when i had full coverage on my last truck i was paying 3,000 a year, a grand extra because i lived right next to rt 80. they told me if its stolen, its on the highway and gone. im like if its stolen its gone no matter what you say......dumb sh it i tell you.
