alright. first off I have a 2001 gp gt im trading it in for either a gxp or gtp. I want a the gxp but payments might be to high. well anyway I got some new parts for my GT and I was wondering if they would fit on the 04 gp's. I have 4 struts, lowering springs, and 4 drilled and slotted rotors with pads. I know if I get a 1997-2003 grand prix gtp all that will fit but will any of it fit on a newer gp?

    -Lowering springs.. Yup
-Struts will depending on the year might need to change out the control arms and sway bar
-pads and rotors I don't think will fit

Well depends on if the endlinks are attached to the strut or from the sway bar to the control arm..

Depending on which style will dictate if you'll need to swap to 97-03 style control arms and sway bar or not just to use the struts. IMO unless you got some awesome almighty struts not worth the hassle unless the car needs them. 06-08 is when they went back to the older style control arm but some 06s still got the 04-05 style. So really you just need to look at the suspension on the car when you get it.

Depends on what your lookin to get out of it.. Want a v8 get a GXP. What some whine and cheese get a GTP. I suggest test driving both and figure out what YOU like. Keep in mind that modding a 3800 is cheaper compared to the LS. Yes both can be modded fairly deep. Also keep in mind that you'll want to invest in a trans cooler right away for the GXP. Get something that you can afford and still live comfortable is my suggestion.

For the extra part sell them in the classified maybe someone will pick them up but the amount of money your going to spend just to do the conversion needs to be factor if it has the 04-05 style control arms your going to look at spend $70-100 on a sway bar. Then $100 on control arms.. Then you'll need endlinks etc.. Then the amount of work it's going to take.. All that just to use..what kind of struts.

GXP has billsteins and they're way better then any strut option out there besides diy billstein coilovers.

No problem. Either is a good choice just let the test drive and financial part of it all help you with your decision.

And make sure you go all over the basic for buying a Wbody.
