I had an Auto start installed in my Grand Prix and if you start it with the key no codes. If you start it with the Autostart instant code P2229(I switched the two sensors around and stiill the same). The MAF and Barometric sensor both read on the scan tool and are functioning correctly per GM. I had a different company go through the Autostart to ensure it was installed correctly and it is but they are also at a loss why it is throwing the code???
I did ppull the engine and do a complete rebuild, but it did not start coding till the Autostart was installed.
We have also verified the 5-volt reference is fine and the two grounds(Transmission and under coil pack are connected).
We are at a loss here? Any help would be wonderful.
The only other thing it will occasionally do is flash "Starting disabled due to theft system" This happens way after start up. I can be driving for 30 minutes and it will show up. Turn off the key and it will start right up and the message is gone.
