My situation is this. I have a P0304 code. I checked the plugs,plug wires, and coil packs. I had a cylinder comprssion test done and the best it read was 75 lbs. and won't hold compression. My friend (who helped me do the test) said it's either a bad valve or a bad piston ring. I will start pulling off the top end tommorrow and praying it's just a valve. The engine has 138,000 miles on it, so in your opinion, would it be worth just doing a top end rebuild? This car is, or was, my daily driver. I'm hoping it will be again
