So my little orange deal wasn't moving correctly, so instead of fixing it, I decided to removed the indicator completely and had a sticker made to light up at night. Enjoy =)

This is the channel that the plastic piece with the PNRD321 sits in. Years of soda and red bull built up yuck. cleaned it up with some acetone.

Spent quite a while wet sanding the back where the PNRD321 is painted on. I used acetone, 3000 grit paper, and a lot of elbow grease. I also wet sanded the top side to ensure a flat surface for the vinyl.

All cleaned up! I tried to 'blur' it up as much as I could to ensure the light would diffuse over the whole surface.

Sticker added to the top side of the plastic piece. I had the sticker made flat black from House of Grafx House of Grafx, Your One Stop Vinyl Graphics Shop. It's 5 1/2 inches X 1 inch.

Just a picture of the shifter without the piece.

Slide the plastic back in very carefully to avoid damaging the sticker.

    Back in the console.

You can kinda see the flange that would be the edge of the indicator in the middle there, that needs cut out because it goesright down the middle of the 'supercharged' and cuts off the light

Did the best I could with what I had as far as tools(dremel would've been ideal) and notched in for the LED strips. Ended up putting one on top instead of down in the channel.

just another view of the notches.

The wires for the LED strips then get spliced into these wires for the stock 194 bulb. Black is ground, gray is power from the parking light circuit.

Gonna try and figure out a better way to light it/disperse the light

And TADA! pretty cool little mod that was cheap and fairly easy.

looks cool, you need a diffuser of some sort for the light under the supercharged logo to break up the light. like a ceiling mounted fluorescent light cover.

Yeah I was thinking about taking the plastic back out and roughing up the back to make it more foggy, but i'd rather not go that route

this is what im talking about, they sell it at home depot or lowes.

    2' X 4' Clear Acrylic Prismatic

you can cut this to fit under the logo, if you could set it so its 1 inch under the logo, then put the lights under the diffuser. should break up the light and spread it around.

maybe even point the lights down. so theres not such bright spots.

hmmm yeah I could cute that to fit down in there fairly easy. only thing about pointing that other one to the side like the one on the left is that it doesn't really reach the edge of the worde. i wish the strips would've been an inch longer

you could almost get a matte clear graphic from house of grafx to cover over the top of the led strip to diffuse/dim down the lights

I like it, it just seems way too bright. Definitely need to get the "su" and "ed" lit up.

Get one of the smaller led strips like they have at autozone, should distribute the light better.

I have also heard of people sanding the tips of the led's to eliminate hot spots.

My other thought, I was going to replace that bulb with an led strip too, was to line the inside of the area with shiny metal tape to make the entire area reflect the light.

So I bought a dremel and cleaned it up. Moved the lights as well.

Picked up a diffuser at home depot and cut a small piece to fit over the LEDs. I'd suggest warming the diffuser before you cut it.

Finished product thanks to the guys for the input and ideas to make it better!
